What Does Recurrent Pain In The Right Thigh Indicate?

I m a 70-y.o. white male with the chief complaint of prickly pain over my right thigh muscle, principally in the skin. The symptoms began concurrently with those of the flu. The sensation comes on when I am supine and dissipates on rising. I have no continual aches or pains, no dizziness, no loss of function. The pain itself is moderate, not unlike a limb awakening from having fallen asleep. Thoughts?
