What Does Red Bump On The Penis Indicate?

My boyfriend has a hard red bump on his penis it s like a thick layer of skin over the top of it. Almost like abite or a boil but he said it doesn t hurt. He has one on his rectum as well and they both look the same to me but he saying the one on his rectum hurts and that It could be a hernia. does it sound like any kind of sexually transmitted disease to you

It is possible that it may be a wart. These can occur in both of the places mentioned and in most cases, there is no pain, though it is possible for them to be uncomfortable.

It does not sound like any of the other common sexually transmitted infections such as chlamydia, gonorrhea, trichomonas, herpes, syphilis , HIV.

He should see his doctor to definitively determine the nature of the lesion and to initiate treatment.
