What Does Red Spots On The Left Hand Indicate?

My little finger on my left hand started with a small red raised spot over the first joint at the nail bed which now has enlarged and caused the whole little finger to swell, has fever and continual pain an tender to touch. Seen by a nurse practitioner, the area was opened expecting a boil, however,NO pus was found, but it bleed profusely. I am now taking antibiotic, pain meds and still is is not subsiding.

Hello,

I think its acute inflammation of that finger which is causing you the symptoms. We need to check what antibiotics you are taking and dosage.

If treated with proper antibiotics, all your symptoms will subside soon. Also, get a culture or biopsy done to know the sensitivity, so that we can treat with proper antibiotics and you will be well soon.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
