What Does Red Spotting During Premenopausal Stage Indicate?
I am currently premenopausal and noticed bright red spotting once today for the first time. Last month I had spotting but it looked like a period on the first day, not bright red, and lasted for one day. I have been premenopausal for the last two or so years and my health care provider told me last year that no periods for one year, can be considered menopausal. Was this a period? what does that mean?
As per my clinical experience, menopause is complete cessation of menses periods for one year in a regularly menstruating woman. The average age of menopause in US is 51 years.
For a period of 2-3 years, one gets irregular menses, inter-menstrual spotting, light bleeds type issues due to lack of oocysts release during menses periods from ageing era. Up to the complete menopause, these will settle down to no menses show up and has to wait for couple of months or so for the same.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
