What Does Redness And Itchiness In Rectum Following Diarrhoea Indicate?

Two weeks ago I had a bad case of diarrhea. Unfortunately I did not wipe good enough and my rectal area began to itch. I went to the bathroom, and wiped, to notice some fecal matter was still on my rectal area. I cleaned it and washed it pretty throughly. THen it became red and very itchy. A few days later, it appeared to "peel" and I thought it was gone. Then more redness came and the cycle started over. What is this and how do I cure it? I am thinking it may be a rectal yeast infection?

Hi,
Due to having frequent passing stool and not cleaning local part properly might lead to some irritation and infection.
Clean part with warm water and apply triple action cream.
Keep local hygiene clean and dry.
Ok and take care.
