Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
i woke up yesterday am.....and my left eyeball felt like it was bruised or something. There is also some redness in the white part of my eye. Blotchy, not consistent to one specific area, and only covering like 30% of the white of my eye at the most. Today the pressure or bruised feeling of my entire eyeball is still there, hurts a lil more when i move my eyes left - right- up - down without moving my head along with it?? I dont think that it is pink eye because of the bruised feeling like it was hit, and like the redness is from trauma? but nothing happened that i can remember.....

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hello,
Red, bruising eyeball over the night, with painful eye movements, without a history of trauma or blow to eyeball could be due to rubbing or itching of the eyeball or some forfeits body in eye or exposure to extreme heat. Cold rose water packs over eyes would give relief. Steroid eye drops would give relief. In case there is no relief, the symptoms aggravate, there is excessive discharge through eyes. Consult an ophthalmologist earliest
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
