Hello XXXXX,
This is indeed an interesting query.
There can be several causes for pain on the right side of the chest which can be differentiated by appropriate history.
1.
Gall Bladder disease: Rich fatty food may precipitate such a pain on the right side .
2. viral Infection:Viruses which cause cold or flu may also sometime cause chest pain
3.Gastritis: Inflammation of the stomach lining which occurs due to fasting or alcohol consumption may mimic right sided chest pain
4.Gastro-oesophageal reflux disease: Reflux of food from stomach to oesophagus is GERD which may lead to chest pain.
Inflammation of the
liver, pleura , muscle pulls,
stress ,
injury are other causes which causes right sided chest pain.
To rule out chest pain due to gall bladder disease , try avoiding fatty and spicy food and see if there s improvement of symptoms.
Pleural inflammation exacerbates on coughing and breathing .
So, i would like you to provide a more detailed history along with factors which increase or decrease the chest pain to arrive at a conclusion.
Thank you for the query
