I have a rumbling in my ear when I move my head around. Feels (sounds like water in my ear) It s been like this for about a week now and it s driving me crazy! When I bend over and stand up it rumbles or if I chomp my teeth or chew something crunchy it sounds like it s in my head like i m wearing an ear plug. Any advice? Thanks!
You are having rumbling in your ears since a week. Rumbling in the ear commonly occurs due to ear infection like otitis media when the ear may not be able to drain fluid from the affected ear resulting in pain, fever, a feeling of fullness in the ear, and problems in hearing.
Meniere's disease may also cause symptoms of dizziness, a feeling of fullness or ear congestion that may create a rumbling-type sound, ringing in the ear and hearing loss.
Rumbling sound may also be related to tinnitus. You are suggested to get clinically examined by an ENT. Get audiometry test done to detect the degree of hearing loss. If infection (AOM) or other medical problems like wax in the auditory canal is detected you will be accordingly treated. Avoid swimming for a couple of days. Keep the ear clean and dry. Do not touch or scratch.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
