What Does Severe Abdominal Pain Along With Vaginal Spotting Indicate?

I had a cervical polyup removed on the 28th. My doctor had an extremely difficult time finding my cervix during this procedure. Since then I have experienced a great amount of pain(similar to labor pressure) & Mild spotting. My cycle just started 9 days early and I m having a lot of pain in my left side, severe cramping and pain in my back. Is this something I should be alarmed about?
