My mom believes she has mono. She is 57 years of age and eats healthy on a regular occasion, and sleeps well. A few days ago, she woke up feeling really tired. It was the first day of her break after working all week. She is adjusting to a new job. Any advise what symptoms to look for and when she needs to see a doctor?
So, occasional fatigue is not troublesome. Regular 7 to 8 hour sleep, active life will not lead to fatigue. Maintain hydration and take meal regularly.
If muscle weakness is there and fatigue is more then will think further causes like sodium, pottasium electrolyte imbalance, liver and kidney problem, thyroid disorder etcetera. According to cause specific treatment is given.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Parth Goswami
