Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband had an episode a few nights back where his feet were very itchy. He finally put socks on and it seemed to go away. We didn t think anything about it until last night his hands were doing the same thing. He was on the road so he rub ice on them which seemed to make it better. He hasn t eaten anything out of the ordinary. No bug bites. No drug reaction. Just wondering your thoughts.
If the skin of the feet or hands are dry, with frequent use of soaps and detergents, this can cause itching of the skin. If so, the best way to keep of managing it is to reduce the use of soap, and use a good skin softner two to three times a day on the feet and hands. Petroleum Jelly (vascilene) is cost effective.
