What Does Severe Pain Behind The Hips On The Right Side Indicate?
My husband is experiencing excrutiating pain on the right side of his back right above the hip. He has had a CAT scan and has an MRI scheduled tomorrow. However, the pain is so severe he cannot move and it also comes on when he is still. Shoul he go to the emergency room?

Pain in back above the hip region may be due to muscle spasm or lumbar spondylosis or radiculopathy or kidney stones et cetera.
