Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Your symptoms have been there for such a long time so it would be recommended to have proper tests to diagnose the likely cause or rule out common conditions. If you are over 50 years of age you will need to have a routine colonoscopy every 10 years as a screening test (even if you would not have any symptoms). So if you are over 50 years of age and not had a colonoscopy please have one done as a routine test to rule out bowel problems.
A urinalysis would be helpful to rule out kidney and urinary problems. You need a routine check with your GP every 1-2 years as well and this is a good case to have one done again to check your abdomen and lungs.

If the physical examination and all these tests come out normal than the pain is very likely muscular and you will benefit a lot from a visit with a physiotherapist which will be able to identify muscles that are in spasm and give you exercises to help them relax and to strengthen your muscles.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Kind regards,
Antoneta Zotaj, MD
