What Does Severe Pain In The Abdomen On The Right Side Indicate?

Stabbing stomach pains in the right abdomen area. Its comes and goes. I get really hot and the pain is unbearable. At 1st it was just for like 10mins of pain now when it hits its like 1hr of pain. What could this be, I dont have insurance so doctors are not really an option unless it doesnt stop. I am on day 2 of this. I have about 2-3 pain spells a day so far. Any ideas?

Hello,

Coming to long term effects relating to your complaints, injury to any neighboring organs (intestine and liver), chronic infection can be presented after many days. As pain was not so severe and there was no fever, we can exclude any long term complication also.

In my opinion, it is better to go for following investigations before confirming diagnosis:
1. Ultrasound abdomen
2. Liver function tests
3. Complete blood picture

There is no need to worry, but investigations guide us in a better way. You can follow the below treatment if no abnormality is found:
1. Antacids
2. Pain killers
3. Plenty of fluids

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
