What Does Severe Pain In The Clavicle And Scapula Indicate?
Intermittent scapula and clavicle pain x lllll6 months. Mostly scapular. Pain ranges from zero to ten. Can t figure out what correlates with pain. Sometimes I go two to three days without pain. Underarm pain sometime accompanies scapula pain. Been off work, without pay, and resting the best I can for the past two and half months. No change. Took muscle relaxer t.i.d x 1 week. No change. Tylenol helps, but I had elevated liver enzymes and chronic kidney disease.
You might be having frozen shoulder. Since, you say scapular and clavicular pain where all the muscles of shoulder joint are being inserted there.
If there is any restriction in the muscle action, then frozen shoulder is caused.
If there is inflammation in that area, it can be subsided by steroid infiltration which is put in the operation theater as a minor procedure and it will give you best result.
They even give you a range of movements corrected from which you will be able to use the limb well without any pain.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Archana
