What Does Severe Pain In The Groin Area Indicate?

I have been having severè stabbing pain in my groin area on the left side for a couple days now. Whenever it happens, I have to run to the bathroom with diarrhea . I feel chilled but don t have a fever. I m currently on minocycline with 5 more days to go. I was sick last week with 102.6 fever, body aches, and severe nausea and had some chest discomfort but I was much better by Monday. But the next day, though, I started with this pain. I don t have a problem with urinating. So I don t know what s going on. Before I had the flu, I had pelvic queasiness and discomfort, and was prescribed antibiotics for a bladder infection and I got better, then I got the flu.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

After reading your post, it seems that your symptoms might be due to antibiotic induced diarrhea. I would advise that you should take a probiotic preparation along with an antacid for relief from your symptoms. Yoghurt/curd will have added benefits.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
