What Does Severe Pain In The Hips On The Right Side Indicate?
4 weeks ago, I felt sever pain in my right side hip joint. I went to my doctor who requested X-Ray of my hip and knee bones. The X-Ray should not abnormality of any kind. The doctor ordered blood test. The results showed no significant inflammation of the joints but she suspected that my immune system is attaching my healthy joints for no reason. Nonetheless, I noted weakness in my right leg muscle. I can not easily lift up my foot while laying on my back. I am doubting that I may have been affected by a muscle virus that weaken the muscles. Is that possible.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
No, a virus can't infect only muscle. If it infects your blood, reports will show that. Kindly send us reports for further consultation and better advice.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
