What Does Severe Pain In The Legs And Feet Indicate?

I have had severe pain in my legs and feet over the course of several weeks. I have been sent to a bunber of specialists, had ultra sound. x-ray and MRI as well as blood tests. None of them seemed to know what was wrong and pain killers were ineffective. This started in August and disappeared as quickly as it came. It recurred in January in both legs ( the first episode was in just my left leg, I just read an article in a health publication that would seem to indicate that I have sciatica. What do you think?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Yes, sciatica can be there but usually, symptoms are radiating pain or numbness due to irritation. I don't if your history fitting to the diagnosis. Since you say all investigations were done, still I would like to ask if you had Doppler ultrasound done to see if there is any vein or artery blockage. DVT is a more common condition. So kindly get that investigation done. If it’s proved sciatica then vitamin B 12 tablets are of help. You can take them prophylactically also. Take Neurobione Forte for one month once daily after food.

Hope this information helps you sort out your problems. If you feel it’s helpful then kindly give me a user thank vote.
Happy Health!
