Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advise.
Does pain radiates from lower back to ankle? Pain is associated with tingling and numbness? Does pain appears after walking or is it present throughout day? In this age this type of pain are due to spinal nerve compression or deep vein thrombosis For symptomatic relief give her ibuprofen tablet and consult orthopedic doctor first and then surgeon to rule out above mentioned condition.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards Dr. Hiren
