What Does Severe Pain In The Lower Legs Indicate?

BOTH OF MY LEGS FROM CALF TO HEEL, WHEN I WALK ABOUT 1 BLOCK THEY BOTH ARE HURTING SO BAD AND MY FEET GO NUMB. I USE TO BE A WALKING FOO, NOW I CANT WALK A BLOCK WITHOUT BEING IN EXCRUCIATING PAIN. CAN YOU HELP ME OUT. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR 3 YEARS. THANK YOU. THOMAS E. WILLIAMS

Hello,

As per your clinical history, is concerned please follow like this
1) Do a clinical examination by your doctor [vascular specialist] and to confirm do few investigations like [Blood lipid profile, angiography and Doppler ultrasound].
2) Discuss with your doctor about [ cholesterol-lowering drug, clopidogrel, and cilostazol].
3) Do take regular medications for diabetes and hypertension if you have.
Do follow lifestyle modifications like this -
1) Try to quit smoking if you're a smoker.
2) If you have diabetes, keep your blood sugar in good control. Discuss with your doctor for a detailed plan.
3) Do exercise regularly. Aim for thirty minutes at least three times a week after you've gotten your doctor's ok.
4) Lower your cholesterol and blood pressure levels, if applicable. Eat foods that are low in saturated fat. And try to maintain a healthy weight.
