What Does Severe Pain In The Neck Indicate?

I believe I have either a pinched nerve or sore muscles on side of neck and traveling into my upper back. I sat at the computer for a long time yesterday and I think that is what caused this. I am in a lot of pain. Have used ice, heat and ibuprofen. Help

Maybe, you have posterior nerve root compression which is causing you all these pains. Trivial trauma or bad posture would have caused you all this.

Take vitamin B12 tablets like Neurobion forte for a month. It is good for the healing process of nerves and your general health also improves.
