Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have pain in my right foot that seems to occur when I stan or walk for length of time I do not have diabetes This just started a few months ago I can walk very long distances in the past and never had any issues like this There is some numbness and shooting pain where times the pain is excruciating
There might be sciatic nerve compression which is causing you the pain. You might have any trivial trauma or bad posture which is causing you the shooting pain across the course of the nerve.
In order to treat such pain, you need to take vitamin B12 supplements like Neurobion forte medicine for a month and you can even take painkillers like tramadol, pethidine for 3 to 5 days if the pain is intolerable.
If still pain is not getting subsided, then we need to think of other causes after a physical examination.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Archana
