General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

As per your clinical history, please follow like this:

1) Do a clinical examination by your Doctor [Ortho] and do an x-ray to rule out the fracture.

2) Do take OTC painkiller [Ibuprofen] and use a removable [splint], and use [crutches] while walking.

3) After healing, discuss with your physio for a specific exercise plan.

Do follow lifestyle modifications like this:

1) Try to warm up before you exercise or play sports.

2) Be careful when walking, running or working on an uneven surface. Wear shoes that fit well and are made for your activity. Don't wear high-heeled shoes.

3) Don't play sports or participate in activities for which you are not conditioned.

4) Try to maintain good muscle strength and flexibility.

Practice stability training, including balance exercises.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Uday Nath Sahoo
