Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband who is 58 years old, is slim and healthy, suddenly started with excruciating pain on his right upper foot. He did not bang the foot but feels that the pain is so severe it is like it is broken. The foot is tender to the touch, and has a constant pain that does not radiate. It spasmed at first but is constant pain even though he has been laying down in bed and resting. Please advise.
I think he is having deep vein thrombosis or something. Because in vein thrombophlebitis usually there will more pain and non-radiating and is swollen and tender. He needs to be examined to know the diagnosis and investigation of vein doppler study might help us to prove that he is having the condition. So kindly get all the above done and get back to us.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Archana
