What Does Severe Pain In The Right Thigh Indicate?

I just experienced two episodes of deep pain on the inside of my right thigh, just above the knee while sitting in my recliner. When I attempted to relieve the pain, which lasted about thirty seconds, the area of pain was somewhat sore to touch. About two or three minutes after the first episode, it recurred with about the same intensity and length. Now it seems to hint that it s returning but does not come back in any intensity.

Hello,

Are you doing vigorous exercise? Since when are you suffering from the above pain?

The possible causes like suprapatellar bursitis or quadriceps muscle spasm or strain or arthritis of patellofemoral joint etcetera. Until examination is done, it is difficult to say from where the pain is originating.

Take rest, apply cold compressions, elevate the limb and also use painkillers. If symptoms not improved, then please consult your doctor so that he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
