What Does Severe Pain In The Testicles After An Injury Indicate?
I was hit in the testicles last Thursday and experienced immediate pain I decided to go to the doctor the next day you told me is nothing more than a bruise and shall go down in a weak or so it is been four days since the incident and my testicles are very very sore mainly my left testicle the skin on my scrotum is a dark purple colour I fear I may have twisted my left testicle I have been reading a lot of stuff online and it has got very paranoid, could my doctors got this wrong? could be something more than just bruising? also The skin on my scrotum has began flaking
If it is twisted testicle, the pain is so crucial that you might land up in an emergency now only. So, definitely it is not that.
What could have happened is, there might be hematoma formed due to trauma and bleeding would have been collected in the subcutaneous tissue which needs some time to clear it off without any medication.
You can be treated symptomatically for now with painkillers like Diclofenac, Tramadol or Pethidine. Since you have severed pain kindly take these tablets for 3 to 5 days after food.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Archana
