What Does Severe Pain In The Testicles Indicate?

My husband is experiencing severe stabbing pain in his groin area and says his testicles hurt especially to the touch. Symptoms seem to go away if he has a bowel movement but when he goes it is a watery stool and possibly has a bit of blood in it. He has had diverticulitis approximately 8 years ago and doesn t know if it could be that again. He does not have a fever and is not nauseous. He doesn t remember any work related strain or injury, (he s a construction contractor) and doesn t play sports or exercise.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The symptoms you have mentioned are mostly non specific and probably maybe due to epididymo orchitis.

No need to worry as of now. Consult a surgeon and get an ultrasound scan done and also do a urine routine. Wishing you good health.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
