Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of severe pain on the left side of the neck which is mainly due to temporomandibular joint dislocation. Well there can be other reasons also for symptoms you mention in query like muscle spasm , cervical spondylosis, nerve compression , ear infection or sore throat . I would suggest you to not to eat any hard substances and do not open your jaw too wide. You should take muscle relaxant and try to bring back jaw in normal position once it is over stretched. Do a luke warm hot and cold fermentation to suppress swelling and pain. Start taking anti inflammatory analgesics for the joint dislocation. Do mouth stretching exercises. You should consult dentist once and get it evaluated. Go for radiographs like OPG and TMJ views to confirm the diagnosis and start treatment accordingly.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
