What Does Severe Pain On The Right Side Of The Groin Area Indicate?

I have extreme pain on the right side of groin which radiates down to inside of thigh. It hurts to even walk and especially trying to get out of chair. When resting then trying to move it stiffens up. I don t remember pulling anything but did do some heavy lifting yesterday.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Though you do not recall pulling any muscles, the fact that you did heavy lifting the day before implies that there could be strain or spasm of a muscle in the affected area. Treatment would consist of rest, applying a cold compress to the area 2 or 3 times a day for 15 to 20 mins and the use of anti-inflammatory medications. Example of medications include Ibuprofen, Naproxen etc.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
