What Does Severe Pain Under The Left Breast Indicate?
I have I have a throbbing pain on my left side under my left breast. I thought it was gas but is not getting better, I had it for two days now and today it has been the worst. It comes an goes like every 15 to 20 minutes. It only lasts one or two seconds and it goes away.
Intermittent pain can sometimes be related to the nerves in the particular area. When pain is related to the nerves it is called neuralgia and the pain is due to neuropathy (abnormal function of the nerves)
It can be temporary or permanent and there are different possible causes. Some common causes are- (1)diabetes, (2)trauma to the nerves, (3) side effect of medication, (4) infection such as shingles, (5) liver or kidney disease, (6) thyroid disease, (7)exposure to toxins, (8)neurological conditions (9)low levels of vitamin b12 or folate
I hope this helps
