What Does Severe Pain Under The Right Breast Indicate?

Yes, I went to ER about 6 mos ago with severe pain in my right side under my right breast. They xrayed my ribs to make sure nothing was broken or fracture and the results were no issues. The doctor said that I must have damaged the tissues around my ribs and gave me Hydrocodone and said it would take a while to heal. However, it is still a problem and some area s are very sensitive to the touch and the pain is constant. I do not know what type of doctor to go see?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You need to do few tests in the nearest medical center including an X-ray of your chest. In most cases it's the result of muscle strain, which requires the following:-
1- Applying cold compressors to your chest for 15 minutes, every 2-3 hours.
2- Apply topical drugs such as Voltaren.
3- Take muscle relaxant.
4- Use over the counter analgesics.

I hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you have any further questions.
