What Does Severe Pressure In The Ribcage Indicate?

Ok what if I feel like somebody sitting on top of me. and my rib cage feels like fixing to explode. but like there blowing a balloon in there and it comes and goes. with a lil pain in the base of the head not to much. Doesn t feel like heartburn or that ate to much. Feels likes comparison.

Hello,

Your symptoms need to be evaluated with the detailed history. first of all your severe chest pain is associated with fatigue and radiating to left arm or neck or jaw then it is more likely due to a cardiac cause.

If there central chest pain with little burning sensation then it could be GERD (Gastroesophageal reflux disease) which causes reflux of acid a pain due to inflammation of the mucosa. So, we need to rule out what could be the possible mechanism.

There could be local inflammation and tenderness of costochondral junction also causing this pain which is called costochondritis. Try taking any painkillers or anti-inflammatory agents if it decreases, then it is basically musculoskeletal pain.

Take gastric tablets for few days before food if it decreases its due to GERD or if it is due to cardiac pathology, then you need detailed evaluation with ECG, ECHO and other blood cardiac enzymes tests.
