What Does Sharp Pain In The Upper Abdomen And Back Indicate?

I have been having sharp and steady pains in the upper right quadrant . The a dull sore pain has spread to my right backside. This has been going on for a couple of weeks now and it is not getting any better. I am in healthcare and have some specific ideas. Many years ago I was diagnosed with diverticulitis but I have not had problems with that in years. Sometimes it feels like there is something moving inside like just crawling around. I know I need to see a gastroenterologist soon but does this bring anything to your mind?

This pain may come from a problem with your gall bladder,like stones in it. It's more severe after eating foods with fat. I recommend you first to do an abdominal sonography, a complete blood count and biochemical blood tests.
