What Does 'sinus Rhythm,non-specific ST-T Wave Changes' In ECG Suggest?

ECG Interpretation: Sinus rhythm, Non-specific ST-T wave changes. Three days prior to taking of ECG I had episodes of sharp intermittent pain in the upper left quadrant of my abdomen up to now but is relieved if I take meds for pain.I consulted a gastroenterologist yesterday and he diagnosed me to be suffering from costochondritis and was given Arcoxia tablet once a day. He ordered an ultrasound of the abdomen and ECG. I am a diabetic (Type 2) and hypertensive patient. What does my ECG result means?

Hi,

Thank you for asking your query on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone through your question. Based on your history of chest pain, and given that you are hypertensive and diabetic, the non-specific ST-T wave changes hold significance. I suggest you get a treadmill test and 2D Echocardiography done to rule out heart disease.

Let me know the report finding and if you have any further questions.

Best,
Dr Vishesh
