What Does Skin Growth From The Vagina Indicate?

I saw there were other questions similar to this, but I had a cord-like piece of flesh on the outside (towards the inside) of my vagina. I m 21, sexually active with just my partner, and started on the pill a month and a half ago. This really worried me. What is it and what does it mean?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

You need to immediately get this growth reviewed by your gynecologist. Possibility of local infection may exist but malignancy or neoplastic growths should be ruled out. If advised you may need to undergo biopsy for reassurance. In any case it should not be ignored.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
