What Does Slight Stiffness And Pain In Hip Joints Suggest?

I am 64 years old, and for the first time, I seem to be aware of my hip joints....there is some preliminary pain or slight discomfort....a would call it a slight soreness or stiffness. Could this be the beginning of hip problems or a possible hip replacement issue? thanks, Jim

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
It seems that there might be having some degenerative changes in hip joint producing pain and stiffness.
Go for x-ray hip joint to see osteo-artheritis and extent of changes.
Question of hip replacement comes where joint is badly affected.
Physiotherapy will be helpful.
Take calcium, vitamin A and D supplements.
Ok and take care.
I find this answer helpful
