What Does Slightly Bulged Pulmonary Bay In Chest X-ray Mean?

Hi there..I am 23 yo, possibly underweight and I undertook 6 months' isoniazid therapy in 2007. In my recent chest xray I am found to have slightly bulged pulmonary bay. I am asked to get a chest xray with CBC and ESR. What does it mean? Please explain.

Hi,
Thanks for choosing healthcaremagic.
The doctor asked you to undergo chest x-ray and blood tests to find out whether you have any active TB disease. The earlier medications for 6 months must have been for TB. On chest-x-ray we can see the pulmonary artery in the left middle region around the central part. The artery must be slightly enlarged causing bulging of the pulmonary bay. The bulging can also be caused as an artifact by incorrect technique (rotated film) of doing x-ray which is very common and should be noted by the radiologist. So, as per the X-ray there is nothing to worry as it does not show any active/residual disease. Do check your blood reports as well.
Hope it sorts your problem.
