What Does Small Gestational Sac During Pregnancy Indicate?

My sister went for an ultrasound scan by her gynae this morning.(this is her first visit). Based on the info, she is 6 weeks pregnant. Her gynae informed her that her pregnancy sac is 1.15cm which is small for a 6week. Her gynae asked her to come back in 2 weeks time for another scan to check whether the baby is "healthy or not".Should we be concern?

Hi,i had gone through your question and understand your concern. Small geststional sac indicate very early pregnancy,there may be a chance of wrong last period date and it is common in our practice. There also may be under developed g.sac. So my opinion is that you should not worry about it now and take tab.Susten(200) bd dose and tab.Folvite 5mg od dose can help you for better prognosis later.
