The pelvic ultrasound suggests presence of gestational sac. Gestational sac is formed after conception. However, the fetus has not developed in the gestational sac. Thus, the pregnancy is not viable. This condition is similar to the previous anembryonic pregnancy. Dilation and curettage is the management for the condition since the pregnancy is non viable. Chromosomal disorders are common cause of early pregnancy loss.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja P Wahal
