You should have mentioned how many weeks she is pregnant!
I would give more importance to the
ultrasonography findings which reveal that there are no foetal heart activities and foetal development. We call it as
blighted ovum.
In earlier weeks of normal
pregnancy,
hCG levels vary from 10000 to 25000mIu/ml.
Though the levels up to 19000 mIu/ml indicate the pregnancy, absence of foetal pole indicates that this is a non-viable pregnancy and will have to be terminated if it does not terminate by itself.
Up to 9 weeks of pregnancy, termination can be done by medicines. However, since there is no foetal pole in this pregnancy, this method can safely and effectively be used in your daughter's case.
Please have a faith in your obstetrician and let him/her suggest the method of termination of pregnancy. Accept it.
Even this pregnancy is not fruitful, you should not loose the courage. It need not repeat next time and she can have normal fruitful pregnancy in future.
