What Does Soreness On The Tongue Indicate?

Have been suffering with extremely red, sore tongue; difficult to eat or drink any acidic food; taste impaired and surface of the tongue is red, smooth and some raised lesions - advised to use Biotene rinse and when I tried it, even that was burning to the tongue. Wondering what possible causes might be?

hi, you may be suffering from vitamin b12 deficiency. I suggest that you get your vit b12 levels checked and also your complete blood count to look for low hemoglobin and low platlets counts.
