What Does Soreness Under The Right Shoulder Blade Indicate?
I have a soreness/ache under my right shoulder blade going up to the right side of my neck. It s not a constant pain but generally in the background. I have random tingling in my right arm and hand, and it s worse at night when I m sleeping. Sometimes a little numb, but if I massage my arm just below the elbow it usually alleviates it a certain way again. It also hurts/aches around the back of my shoulder where it meets my arm when I straighten my arm and raise it over my head (hurts most when i tough my head with my arm) or out to the side and back a little. That all might not make sense when I type it...
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
The presentation of narrated symptoms suggests that there is possible nerve compression due to ligament issue or else at the shoulder region giving referred pain to the mentioned areas.
In our clinic, I recommend an MRI of the region for final diagnosis and further management guidelines.
Thanks.
Take care.
