Postmenopausal bleeding is vaginal bleeding that occurs a year or more after your last menstrual period. Perimenopause, the time leading up to menopause, usually occurs between ages 40 and 50. It’s the phase when a woman’s hormone levels and periods start to change.
Diagnostic tests that are helpful in finding the exact cause are Pap smear, trans vaginal and abdominal ultrasound imaging, and endometrial or uterine biopsy. So please consult your gynecologist to assess the exact cause and provide the appropriate treatment.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

What Does Spotting After Uterine Fibroid Removal Indicate?
Hello, Postmenopausal bleeding is vaginal bleeding that occurs a year or more after your last menstrual period. Perimenopause, the time leading up to menopause, usually occurs between ages 40 and 50. It’s the phase when a woman’s hormone levels and periods start to change. A few causes of post menopausal bleeding are endometrial or vaginal atrophy (lining of the uterus or vagina becomes thin and dry), hormone replacement therapy, uterine cancer or endometrial cancer (cancer in the lining of the uterus), endometrial hyperplasia, cancer cervix, uterine polyps and cervical inflammation.
