What Does Spotting Post Intake Of I Pill Suggest?

Hello Doctor, My wife (26 years old) has gone through a MTP abortion. She took the Mifopristone on 11th of September and Misoprostol on 13th as per our Gynac advice. Her bleeding stopped after a week and we had intercourse with condom on 24th but the condom slipped! She took an iPill on 25th morning. We have tested for a clean abortion and confirmed through ultrasound. Today 30th September, she got spotting! Is this her period or just breakthrough bleeding? Can we feel assured that she will not get pregnant again? Please answer!

I understand your concern.
Spotting or intermittent bleeding could continue for about 4 to 6 weeks following abortion with use of pills. Hence, it would be happening in her case too.
Since she has taken i pill within specified time, it should offer protection against pregnancy. Also her spotting could be due to beginning of her periods as break through bleeding.
In any case, she should get her periods as break through bleeding within 3 weeks from the day of consumption of i pill, which would ensure that she is not pregnant.
In case this does not happen, you need to seek medical help immediately.
