What Does Spotting When On Althea Pill Suggest?

hi, good day.Im Ann. Yesterday I was taking my first Althea pill with no menstruation yet.But today Ive noticed a red spot on underwear. But prior from that I had a month long bleeding which the OB Gyne diagnosed as mild and simple hyperplasia with out Atypia. HAd me dilation and curettage18 days ago. hoping for your quick response

Althea is a drug used to prevent unwanted pregnancy and fix the menstrual cycle since it contains estrogen. But as the other contraceptive drugs it have side effects like the one you are experiencing "spotting". Don't worry for that, it is common during first cycles that you are on the pill, since the hormones are not stabilized yet. After a while this side effect will stop and your menstrual cycle will be regular. It may take up to the second cycle. If you have other complains and symptoms that seems unbearable to you, please talk to your gynecologist.
