What Does Stiffness In The Neck And Between The Shoulders Indicate?
I started feeling some stiffness in my neck and between my shoulders yesterday. Tonight I am unable to move my head from side to side. I am also having some pain while breathing in, which feels like pleurisy Ive had many times before. Its concerning me now though, as the stiffness in my neck was caused by no injury and is getting worse. Any ideas on whats going on?
You may be suffering from back muscle and neck muscles spasm may be due to fever or abnormal position of sleeping or rare possibility of meningitis. Until examination is done, it is difficult to say what it is.
Use neck support; sleep on even surface and also use muscle relaxant drug. If symptoms not improved, then please consult your doctor so that he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
