What Does Stress Test Positive For Inducible Ischemia Mean?

my mother is 55 years old. her TMT findings are interpretation: Good effort tolerance Exaggerated chronotropic response Normal inotropic response No angina or arrythmiaST depression noted during late recovery in inferolateral leads conclusion: stress test is positive for inducible ischemia at moderate work load what does this mean? please reply

Hello,

TMT above shows that your mother coronary blood vessels supplying the heart are either narrower down or your mother heart is thickened. This is leading to demand supply deficit. Either demand is increased (less likely) or supply of blood to heart is reduced. Your mother may need to go for angiography once you a cardiologist approves it. Or he may prescribe anti angina drugs to her as per clinical situation and other risk factors.
