What Does Subendometrial Hypoechoic Lesion At Posterior Fundus Mean?

I am a breast cancer survivor now 3 years. I recently had an ultrasound due to pain on my side. the result were and subendometrial hypoechoic lesion evident at posterior fundus most likely representing a fibroid. Is causing me discomfort for over a year now. Not had a meeting with a doctor yet what my options are. Is there anything to worry about? My uterus measured normal. I m a slim 52 year old and physically active

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* As per my clinical experience, the radiologic finding of small hypoechoic lesion at posterior fundus indicates soft tissue lesion of benign nature called fibroid uterus.

* Though not mentioned, I can assume that you are post menopausal age of 52 years.

* The regular periodic surveillance is mandatory as there is bresat cancer hisotry before 3 years.

* If any other drugs as Tamoxifen or else are right now continued or recently stopped, let me know as that may vary the response to this query quite significantly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
