Hello,
You lost 10 minutes of memory while driving car & could locate where you were with the help of your GPS. That was vey good 'cause though you lost memory you had presence of mind that helped you. Presently you feel tired.
You have not mentioned any past illness or forgetting problems in the past. You have not mentioned if you had taken alcohol or not.
Never take alcohol when you are taking any medication as it often interacts causing complications.
Anxiety, stress (physical & emotional) or
depression can cause forgetfulness, difficulty in concentrating or confusion.
It looks like you suffered
Transient global amnesia, a short term
memory loss that is temporary. It is commonly seen after a
migraine headache, sexual intercourse, exhaustion/ exertion, psychological or emotional stress, etc.
You should take rest not only physically but also mentally. Rejuvenate yourself with healthy lifestyle & healthy eating for a couple of days. TGA resolves on its own.
However, you are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP, get investigations & imaging tests ( CT, MRI, EEG) done to rule out any developing symptoms of forgetting,
dementia, alzheimer's disease or
stroke.
Hope I have answered your queries. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K
