I am 40 and was just diagnosed by my OB-Gyn yesterday as a diabetic. I just tested my blood, before i ate just to see, a machine my mom had and it said my sugar was 543. I haven't seen a doctor concerning this issue yet. What should I do? I know 543 is high.
The normal values of blood sugars according to american diabetes association is 1 Fasting blood sugars - Below 126 mg/dl 2 Post prandial blood sugars - Below 180 mg/dl
your sugars are really high which at this level might cause ketone body formation which might be really problematic.
So dont worry. Consult your doctor and start taking drugs.
Thanks
